Terms and conditions

1. Quotes

Quotes are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. They're based on the information available at the time, such as photos, measurements and the details you give us. If we find extra work is needed once we start, we'll discuss it with you before going ahead.

2. Booking

A booking is confirmed once we've both agreed a date. If weather, safety or something unforeseen means we need to move it, we'll contact you to rearrange.

3. Access and supplies

Please make sure we can safely reach the work area, and that an outside water supply and electricity are available unless we've agreed otherwise. Where possible, move vehicles, furniture and plant pots out of the way before we arrive.

4. Weather

Some work depends on the weather. Heavy rain, high winds or freezing temperatures may mean we postpone to the next suitable date.

5. Results

Results depend on the age and condition of the surface, previous maintenance and the type of staining. We always aim for the best possible result, but we can't guarantee that every stain will come out. Oil, rust, paint, lichen and deep black spot may not be fully removable.

6. Block paving re-sanding

Kiln-dried sand is only applied once the paving is dry enough, which may mean a return visit on a later dry day.

7. Existing damage

We're not responsible for existing damage such as loose pointing or mortar, cracked or loose paving, damaged tarmac, surface erosion, failing render or loose jointing. Cleaning can reveal defects that moss, algae or dirt was hiding.

8. Regrowth

Cleaning removes existing moss, algae and weeds, but they will grow back over time. Regular maintenance is recommended.

9. Your responsibilities

Please give us access to the work area, keep children and pets away while we work, follow any aftercare advice, and avoid treated areas until we say they're safe.

10. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Larger jobs, or jobs that need materials buying in advance, may need a non-refundable 20% booking deposit to secure the date and cover materials, with the balance due on completion. We accept bank transfer and other agreed methods. Late payments may incur extra charges where the law allows.

11. Cancellations

Please give as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or rearrange. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged, particularly where significant time or travel was involved.

12. Liability

We hold public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We're not responsible for problems caused by existing defects, poor previous repairs, normal weathering, natural movement of paving or structures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

13. Photographs

We may take before-and-after photos for quality control, training and marketing, without any personal information. Let us know before the work starts if you'd rather we didn't.

14. Aftercare

Surfaces may stay damp for a while, so take care until they're dry. Keep traffic off cleaned block paving until it's been re-sanded; we'll confirm when it's ready. Biocide treatments keep working after we leave, so the surface may keep improving over the following days and weeks.
