Porcelain patio cleaning

Green film, grime and joint staining cleaned off porcelain patios with methods that won't dull or scratch the finish. Minimum charge £150.

What makes porcelain different

Porcelain is dense and hard, so stains sit on the surface rather than soaking in. That makes it easier to clean than sandstone, but the wrong chemicals can leave a haze and the wrong brush can mark some finishes. We use a cleaner suited to porcelain and a surface cleaner for an even result.

What we clean off

If the jointing itself is failing, we can re-point it. Tell us when you send photos.

Questions

Isn't porcelain meant to be maintenance-free?

The tiles don't absorb much, but dirt and algae still settle on the surface and in the joints, especially in shade. It needs cleaning less often than natural stone, not never.

Why is my porcelain slippery?

A thin green film of algae. It's often hard to see on darker tiles until it's wet. Cleaning removes it.
